LFD vs. QuickLoad

I just found out Quickload has a competitor!

Any one have experience with both and can comment?

I would like to calculate OBT and I am curious if LFD is as good as quickload for these calculations.

My shooting expenditures strain my retirement already, saving $80 isn't trivial.

I have LFAD. Its good for initial load development, has a long list of cartridges, but is lacking data for the newer powders. I have found the suggested loadings for the most part are close velocity wise, some almost dead on.

You can add cartridges and bullets not in the DB, but unfortunately it doesn't give you ability to add powders or calculate those not suggested.

When I built my 338 Federal loading data wasscarce, but since it isn't anything more than the old wildcat 33-08 LFAD had it listed. The same situation with the old Nosler Solid Base bullets. They're not one in the DB, but able to be added in.

For the money LFAD is good for the money and serves the purpose, but not nearly the package Quickload is.
