Leupy 40x turret dial loose

Hi,

I have a Leupold Competition,since 1999) and the windage turret has become very loose,can hardly rotate it without slipping). Does anyone know how to remove the turret or how to fix this?

Sorry, no solution from me except Call their service center or send it back to leupold. I have had nothing but awesome to say about their customer service! I cracked a lens on an 0ld 70's era 2.5x8 when I fell sheep hunting. They told me that particular scope wasnt fixable & sent me a new one with the Boone & Crockett reticle for $36 to cover shipping & the exchange. When my straight 12x started giving me problems they went thru it and returned it costing me about $150 to replace seals, lens and put target turrets on it. I do have Zeiss & Nightforce Scopes which are Fantastic. But service like this can't be ignored by someone like me Good Luck
