recently my shooting buddy knocked my 22-250 with it's leupold scope off the bench onto the CONCRETE floor! there was a large impact wound to the foreend of the stock and a large impact to the scope. i fired a few rounds and the poa andpoi were WAY off and the retical didn't look right. i sent the scope to leupold with a letter stating that i was at fault and requested an inspection and appropriate correction/repair at MY expense. the scope was serviced and repaired AT NO COST to me! i basically have a new scope! now i know why i own more leupold scope,bases, and rings than any other brand. today's daily bulliten's visit to the leupold facility was very educational and reminded me of my good fortune to own a product made by someone who truly believes in standing by their product and it's performance. I had the same thing happen..........drop rifle on concrete and landed on scope. Bent tube. Sent back to Bushnell (It was a 6 x 24). Got letter stating beyond repair (old/no parts) and offered me a comparable new scope at about $20 less that I could buy same!!! Sent note....no thanks.......money will go to a new Leupold!

I have a 33 year old 16x at Leupold now for servicing, wouldn't hold poi.

For some reason I was amazed when I called about it and the rep said it was covered under warranty and would be as good as new upon return.

I had been hesitant to spend the money on them before (gotta be frugal nowadays) but not anymore.

God, I love this thread.
It supports what we have said for a long time about Leupold. The service techs and Allen Tucker at Leupold are the best. We own a number of Leupold rifle scopes and two Leupold spotting scopes. We take care of our equipment but we know if something goes wrong, Leupold is there. They have also contributed to Postal, National, State Championships, and benchrest schools that I have been associated with.

I have had 11 Leupold's to date. I do love them! I am finding out that Night Force are a better scopes as to glass, as I am getting into comp.! So yes there are and maybe better scopes than Leupold, but CAN, Or WILL the other's back their product like Leupold does!? Out of 11. I have only had to send 1 back! It wouldn't track right and Leupold had it back to me in 12 days from the time it left my house. Tracked perfectly after getting it back. From what I read and hear Night Force has the same warrinty as Leupold. We will see!? As far as Leupold backing there product! They Damn sure set the bar High!! Want hesitate to buy a Leupold!!

Same story here. My ancient Luppy 2-7 went FUBAR, and I sent it in.. Got it back good as new no charge.
