does anyone know the difference in the vx-L and the vx3L? Is it just the glass? If so how much better is the vx3-L?

I called them yesterday, they told me that there were very little difference in them. He said that he was pretty sure they just changed the coating on the glass.. The way he talked they were pretty much the same, he also told me the vx-l was made from 2006 until 2009 and the 3l was from 2010 until 2014 I believe..

As far as a scope that you zero in and leave alone scope they make a good hunting scope. Pretty good glass to boot.

I have a vxl 6.5x20 varmint hunter reticle that has 1/10 inch clicks. That is different from my vx3.
