Leupold ring weight?

Anyone have a set of the Leupold MkIV high rings to weigh, or know their weight? Shooting FTR, and need to skim some weight...

Option #1: Recrown the barrel instead.

Gday mate, i am having the same issue as you exept my rings and bases are standard leupold which weigh 5oz. Im getting some Talley lightweights that Talley say weigh 2.5oz per set of 2.

Yeah mate, the talley's are an alloy ring /base in one. They call them "Airweight rings" I should be getting them at the end of this week or sometime next week. When i get them i'll post on here a pic and how much they weigh.

I got my talley rings today. They do indeed weight 2.50 oz. So my T3 Varmint 308 now makes the required weight for the class and i did not have to lap the rings. They were spot on straight out of the box.
