Leupold or similar target knobs

I recently went through this. I called Leupold custom shop asking about getting target knobs. They quoted me around 300 I believe. I ended up finding out about the leupold custom shop S5 screws on dials. You have to ask about them for them. They don't advertise them and wont tell you about them when asking for target turrets. It's a factory kit they make and are $75 shipped from them and real easy to install yourself. They make an elevation and windage version. They also make a set that are in MIL. Those are called the S1 screws on dials. These kitsch look factory when you put them on. I can send pics or post pics if you want. They even have a zero stop feature.

6.5 Grendel: From looking at the pics, It seems to limit rotation to only one revolution? Is that correct? Also the directions say coin slot click. I assume it works on coin slot non-click also. Don't think I have ever seen a coin slot click dial? Is there any slack in the knob to slot connection?
Sorry for all the questions

Frank

It can limit the rotation to one turn if you use the zero stop feature. There is a small ball bearing that you can take out between the two main pieces. I believe that takes away the zero stop but allows more than one revolution of turns. You can see the small shiny ball bearing in one of the pics. Most of the leupold scopes are click type. If you can feel a detent with each mark on the dial then it's the click type. The old leupold are friction type and just use friction to hold the dials in place, no detent and no click feeling when turning the coin slot. The S5 dials don't work on those types. Leupold will tell you if they are compatible with your scope on the phone if you are unsure. Mine don't have any slack at all between the knob and slot. I hope this all makes sense.
