Leupold customer service

I have never dealt with any scope companies customer service.
I would have to say Leupold Is top notch if they take care of others issues like they did mine.
I lost a scope cap off of my 45x45 . They asked if i had ever used their warranty service or other services before.
I said no
He took my information down and said you'll be receiving a scope cap in bout a week, No charge...
I was planning on having to pay something. What a great experience..

I lost a turret cover/cap back in '18 out in SD while on a pdog hunt. I called Leupold soon after my return home and never received the cap per my conversation with the CSR. I called in Feb '22 again see about it and was promptly mailed 2 caps, so I could complain but I did get some caps for free.

Sent 2 scopes back to them because I wanted them "blueprinted". They complied, service was quick and the charge was minimal. I had the Tucker Conversion done to both scopes and they tracked perfect.

I had a Leupold that wouldn't track or hold zero. It was one of their top-tier scopes well over $2,000. Its been back multiple times. The first couple times they "inspected it" and cleaned it and called it a day without addressing the problem. I told them I wanted it replaced after the first two trips since it was still having problems. They told me I didn't know what I was doing, told me it was my gun, etc. Then I explained to them it had been on three or four different rifles and it had the same problem, but my three S&Bs didn't have said problem on those same rifles. I also stated that the scope crapping out on me in the middle of a class I was teaching didn't inspire confidence in Leupold products for my students. The guy in charge said he would personally mount the scope and shoot it, and if he had any of the problems he would have it replaced free of charge.

Evidently, the weather sucked because it took three months for him to test it. He agreed that the problems did exist. Rather than replacing it as he promised, he had new internals and knobs placed on the scope. It came back to me nearly four months from when I sent it with a set of fresh new ring marks marring the finish. I had planned to sell the new scope but didn't want to take a big loss on one that was back and forth and beat up. I'm afraid its going to have to go back again because I'm getting a wandering zero again with it. Its sad because I have another identical scope without any problems and I love the size/weight/features of the scope.

For me, I'm not sure I'll ever brag on CS at Leupold.

You will once some jealous competitor frigs with your adjustments while your rifle is off the line. :(
Wow. Seriously?

Fortunately that hasn't happened yet - at least I don't think so.
Because I compete in XTC, I have different zeroes for each stage => I'd be able to correct the settings before the stage started.

Have had that happen more than once and at the same range. They are not on my schedule this year.

I have always had excellent service from Leupold but some days your item might go to the guy having a bad day or bad life. It happens. Actually only one optical company has incurred my everlasting wrath, but I know many who think they are great. Its called....Life.

Had that happen at a PRS match. Saw the guy do it. It was an honest mistake, he dialed his dope on my rifle which had an S&B on it just like he used. Rifles were very similar as well, but obviously a different color. I fixed it before my turn at the stage. I think he walked up and struggled thinking his dope was already dialed.

I had a similar experience as tylerw02 with a Variex3 that wouldn't adjust the elevation. After 3 trips back to Leupold they finally fixed the tracking but the crosshairs would then rotate with every shot. After the fourth return they finally replaced it. Sold it and swore off Leupold forever.

Just sent two 20 year old scopes in. The turrets went to mush. They replaced the scopes with higher models. Pretty please bc I got those scopes for $250 back in 2000, and they replaced them with $700 scopes. Lol

I've also had good luck out of leupold CS.Sent 40x competion back because parallax knob was way off.I could adjust parallax out at a little over 300yd but that was about it and knob markings was way past 400yd. Sent scope in and got it back in a little less than a month and works as it should and parallax markings on knob are real close to being spot on...BTW this scope came on a rifle I had traded for but PO had told me about the scope before hand....
