IDK when they changed the VXII to click adjustments,,then there is the VXI and Rifleman scopes IDK if they are clix or not,,
some Leupolds didnt have clix but I dont know if they still make a friction adjust scope now or when they quit,,but they did make them like that for a long time,,
if he had the scope for a while he should know if it had clix and stopped and if thats the case it will need a trip back for repairs,
I have a VXII 3-9x40 that I bought in 1980. It has the friction adjustments. Don't ever use the scope any more. Have considered sending it back to Leupold for different turrets but don't really think about it. I was never a fan of the friction adjustments. It has great glass and the longest distance I shot a deer at was 314 yds. It and the rifle it sits on just don't get used much. It was easy to sight in but making adjustments I want to hear or feel a click.I saw a scope yesterday at the range that a guy was trying to zero at 100 yards on his deer rifle. He said he was having trouble zeroing. Nice scope Leupold not sure of the model. He said the scope would not click when making adjustments. Do they make a scope that does not click?
