Leupold adjustment problems

I have three Vari X III scopes and two VX III scopes which took the place of the former in the Leupold line. It seems that the adjustments on the VX are not as easy to feel and not as accurate as the old Vari X III series. I got a little frustrated today trying to rezero an accurate rifle today. I do not buy cheap scopes but the only two that I am confident in the accuracy of the adjustments are my NightForce NXS and an old Weaver T10. I got rid of a top of the line Nikon when the factory could not repair the adjustment inaccuracy. Has anyone else got an informed opinion about the current Leupold VX III scopes or their other top of the line hunting scopes?

Hi,

I have two VX3 Ls in 6.5 - 20 x 56 (L R E V...blood splatter look :-) ). These are 1/10moa clicks. The click adjustments on both of these is more positive than my two NXS 5.5 - 22 X 56...I actually really like the clicks on the VX3 Ls.

However I have had one of the VX3 Ls on a 6BR for only about a month from brand new and I ended up sending the scope back for repair, it appeared to me as though the zero was shifting slightly...say an inch at 200yrds. I wasn't fully convinced that it was the scope but at a loss as to what else to do I sent it back for repair, they fully replaced windage end elevation mechanisms....I was impressed with the service and turn around time.

I haven't measured the adjustments to check that 1/10moa is actually 1/10th, however the 1/10th clicks were very small and allowed me to get my POI exactly where I wanted it...i.e. I was very pleased with the adjustments.
