Leupold 30mm , side focus 35 power scopes

Just curious, what are the fixed 35 power scopes are typically used for? What type of shooting are they really good for?

Majority of RF BR shooters use fixed power in the 36x range, some use variables up to the 60 power. I have a 45x SIII on the shelf waiting on a new RFBR build to be completed. I also have a couple spare 36x's in case I don't like the 45x.

Are they too much for just long range shooting? In Your opinion.

Can't answer that question. My experience with 36x scopes is in RF BR at 50 yds.

I have several 6x24's on CF rifles that I use for pdogs. Mirage is a problem with fixed power scopes at LR because you can't dial back the power/magnification to deal with mirage.

Need additional info such as what is LR for you, and what style of LR shooting are you wanting to do, banging steel or ???
