I thought I would post some pictures of one of the Ruger No 1 s that have been wearing out my right palm. But side from showing off, I figured I would ask a question as well... Is there a limit to what a stock will take in terms of this finish? It feels like it's got a pretty darn good shine on it. However, if you run a fingernail across the grain you can still feel it. To me, it's already quite beautiful; but I can't stop rubbing it, lol! I think I might have a problem. It seems to get better and better. The only thing I've done to this stock is strip the factory orange peel off with Citru-strip, and apply Arrow. I can't count coats, or hours; but honestly it seems if I rub this poor rifle any more, it might actually start emitting light...
