Lenzi vs SEB

I’m not saying it was all the rest but I shot the World Open with a new Lenzi rest and rear bag. The rifle tracked really well and I placed pretty well in some tough competition.

The ironic thing is one of the prizes I got was a Seb NEO. They are great rests too but having owned one in the past I can say I prefer the Lenzi. I think it is much smoother than the Seb but that is simply my opinion. It wasn’t difficult to sell the NEO so they sure have a strong following!

Dave.

The SEB, Farley, and Lenzi are all nice rests. There is only so much you can do with the coaxial design. There is not a huge difference between them. Seb supports F Class and is most certainly the most popular rest in that game.
Hi Alex, does the Lenzi have any shortcomings in your opinion in fclass open? (Compare to a Seb Neo?)

I only played with one and the vertical and horizontal movement had quite a difference in resistance. I dint care for that. Now I didn't take it apart or mess with it other than the tension adjustment. So maybe that could be fixed. I have a Farley I have slicked up a bit that's still my favorite.

I have never used a Leniz, but I have a new SEB NEO-X and I must say I prefer it to my SEB-Neo. It is a bit lighter, folds up, and packs away in its own supplied bag for transportation. The head movement seems a little bit smoother than my NEO and it just feels like the work of act it is! You can’t go wrong with a NEO! P.S., the Neo weighs 24 lbs 8 oz and the NEO-X is 18lbs 10 oz on my scale without feet. At my age that is a lot less to carry to the line.

Looking forward to trying my new Raptor rest out when it comes in. Should be in a couple of weeks or so. I'll offer some review on it once I can. Only about a 4 week leade time on mine. That might get longer as time goes but can't complain about that part.

No experience with benchrest shooting or a Lenzi rest..... That said I have used a Farley and plenty of different SEB rests in the past. My preference is SEB for a few reasons..1.SEB supports the sport I enjoy, he gives back thousands of dollars a year. 2. SEB and Ernie are stand up gentlemen and stand behind the product 100%...not saying the others don't. 3. Craftsmanship and quality far exceed my expectations. My rests have been hauled across this country likely more than most. They take a licking and keep ticking with very little maintenance.

Norm has it right! You can't beat Seb or Ernie. I have shot off SEB rests since before he came out with the original NEO. You can't beat a SEB and the new NEO-X is the best of the bunch! The 'X' is smooth as silk and almost 6lbs lighter than a NEO. You have to try one out to believe how it feels to shoot off it. SEB has another winner.

I've had three different Seb Neo's. They were all great rests but the Lenzi to me is much nicer. Smoother operation, easier tension adjustment, more travel left and right allowing you to look at your neighbor's target and better looking. At the end of the day both rests are great and it really comes down to opinion. I seriously doubt the targets will have any reflection on which of the two rests you have, however my vote is certainly for the Lenzi.

Personally don’t use rests in competition (F-TR guy), but if I was looking to get into a discipline that used front rests I would choose SEB based on what I read here.

The reasoning being that from what I read here it has a lot to do with personal preference and experience with one or the other, so all other things being essentially equal the support that I see that SEB gives to the sport would be the decider for me.

Not yet. Should be about any time. Everything I hear is very positive. I think I'll be a happy camper but I'll just have to patiently wait a few more days or so. It's still remarkably fast compared to most. He told me 4 weeks and we're not quite there yet. I'm good with it if he stays close. He's been great to do business with so far. I have no reason to think anything else.
But yes...I'm excited to get it! Can't help it! Lol!
