From your post seems I've delivered your rest with a defect since the beginning. As you stated in the messages above, the rest was NOT "screwed up since the start" and the proof is that you were very pleased since the beginning when you got it in january...work of art...and in march Lamborghini and Wolkswagen....only in July, after 6 months, you wrote me asking how to fix a problem of stiffness. Of course problems can happens in every tool, car or whatever thing..... but as explained from you I suddendly thought that you did something wrong trying to adjust what you didn't like and this was confirmed when you reported me all the problems that that guy has found inside (seems I'm not the only one to think in such way) The rest was perfectly working when left Italy. Anyway I offered you to send me to Italy at my cost the body to check and fix the problem, but you prefered to follow another way. I saw many rests and other tools damaged by inexpert hands.
No it was screwed up from the start. I really noticed it when another fellow competitor and friend from CT let me try his. It was totally different than mine was. My friend who fixed it also said the same thing and I told you what he said about it when he fixed it. I didn't want to tell you my real feelings about the rest in the beginning and that was my fault. I should of told you the truth about the way it didn't work so well.

They make some fine products I agree but when yo begin getting at 2k for a rest that’s just getting out of the price of most and at that price point I personally can’t see where the cost difference outweighs performance from Sebs and Farley

Now Jim, did anyone, perhaps the vendor you purchased the rest through happen to offer to repair or exchange your rest? Maybe even on several occasions? I've tried to stay out of this because I don't believe retailers and manufacturers should involve themselves too much in the free discussion and reviews of such things on forums, but enough is enough.
Everyone is going to make one lemon now and again. If a person is offered repair or replacement and refuses such service... well, let logic determine your feelings.
I have owned and shot off all of the joystick rests, except the Magnum Metal. They are all fine rests. They all have their quirks. I prefer the Lenzi and that is why we sell them.

I would say that 21st century is very reliable and never had a problem in the past if there was an issue, so why would I question it now?..... jim
I can tell you this the Sebs and Farleys don't work well in the cold, They get sticky and you ping pong around trying to get in the center ....had to go to my old Sinclair..... jim

Am not a high level shooter like many of you, but don't discount Rod Brakhage. I have SEB NEO which is wonderful. Know nothing about Lenzi except pics. He had his prototype in Tulsa, and he has some very innovative mechanical concepts----it is not just a 'me too'. He will have at SWN. I have seen his other inventions. He was formerly a tool and die maker, and knows mechanics.

The grease in a coax makes a big difference. About 10 years ago with my first Farley rest I tried a lot of different stuff to smooth it up. I tried the teflon tape on the main friction surfaces, and every grease I could get my hands on. At the end of it, the best result was polishing the rods inside, and using a grease called moly-graph. I was mainly looking for the smoothness to make very small adjustments without over shooting them like Jim is saying.
I have not had this issue with my Seb and I have shot in 10 degree weather.
I had 4 of them even the one with the weights and no spring and it was the smoothest. in the cold they get sticky and Farleys were the same or worse till I used Mobile 1 grease and 0-20 oil mixed together and it was way better. .... jim
I’d like to hear more about this rest, they appear to be a bit of a secret.

Pat I didn't say anything to you also. I just didn't want to tie up the rest for month's getting fixed because we all know how that goes. I figured I needed a rest for home use and it worked ok for that. You know Alan and his work tuning up rests. He offered to fix it for me for free because he said he would be honored to work on a Lenzi because he never worked on one before so I shipped it out and had it back in a week. When I finally told Alberto about it he stated that he has had about 13 rest come back to him which had something wrong with them. I understand he is only human and let's face it we all make mistakes and he told me that he would of fixed it and I told him that I appreciated that but like I said, I would of had to send it back to you then you would have had to ship it back to Italy, it's just too much of a hassle. I paid Alan for the parts that he had to replace which was the bearing and race and I had to pay shipping to and from Georgia. It's probably the smoothest Lenzi out there. It beats my friends Lenzi from CT. His is nice but not as nice as mine is now.
