Lenzi vs SEB

What are the pros and con to either vs the other if any. Is the Lenzi worth the extra cost? I can't see getting to try one in person to decide. Thank you for any input. I'd rather buy once, cry once.

SEB makes a great rest and many matches are won using his rest every weekend. He is a huge supporter and gives back to the shooters every year through numerous donations. Buy a SEB and you will NOT be disappointed, I promise. His adjustable bag design makes it easy to switch between two guns with different stock widths. (Hunter gun 2 1/4 inch forearm and a VFS gun with 3" forearm)

I like the way the Lenzi is set-up better than the Seb. Look at them closely and you will see the differences. Not a thing wrong with the Seb. I have at one time owned every one and never had any problems at all. You can tell the Lenzi is of Italian design, just like their sports cars. The Lenzi bags are a cut above as well IMHO. I would not go back to the Seb from the Lenzi.

Regards
Rick

Folks, I will be introducing my new Rodzilla Shooting Products front rest at the Nationals out in Phoenix next week. I will have a display set up behind the line if allowed or in the parking lot.
also I will have pictures and information available on my website during the first week of November at www.therodzilla.com.
My new T-Rex front rest uses my 5-Axis top and has several new features that none of the current rests have. The footprint is similar to the MAX but weight is one Lb less than a NEO. The bridge is adjusted while looking through the scope. Also, unlike the SEBs or Farleys, the rifles weight or counterbalance is adjustable with the gun setting on the rest using external thumb screws. The X-Y movement utilizes 8 double sealed ball bushings running on hardened shafts. There is almost no friction or resistance to even the smallest amount of joystick input. My rest features a high and low ratio for crosshair movement. In high ratio mode you get 70moa horizontal adjustment. The joystick has over 5 inches of adjustment for length. There are several other features but these are the highlights. Also it is American made.

Stick with a NEO. I have owned 8 NEO's, 7 Farley's and 1 Lenzi. IMO the extra money that u spend on a Lenzi is not worth it. My Lenzi was screwed up right from the start until my friend Alan Wofford who has tuned up hundreds of Farley and NEO rests fixed it for me. His tuned up rests are night and day difference in smoothness over any stock rest. You don't believe me ask Bart and Billy Stevens.

I have had and used a SEB NEO for years. It's a great rest and Seb and Ernie are great to help you out. The thing I didn't like about them was their top. I don't like the top between the posts and I don't like the front bags. The ears are a pain to adjust unless you have it raised to the top of the posts. The Lenzi top is behind the posts and much nicer to adjust and like Rick said his bags are top notch. I have been using the Lenzi this year and I like it a lot. It just depends on what your using it for and your personal preference. They are both good rests but the Lenzi suits me better.

Looking forward to seeing this, but i was hopping something more along the line of Neo weight wise as i find anything heavier is getting quite cumbersome to use . But that might just be me.

Mine is actually 1 pound less than a NEO. I have one each of the SEBs and like them all but for different reasons. I have also rebuilt and tuned dozens of the SEBs and am very familiar with them. The biggest issue I have is getting my scope on target in the vertical. With arthritic shoulders I hate having to go back an forth to adjust the bridge. I also want my hand on the ground with the end of the stick held between my thumb and first finger. With my remote vertical adjustment design I can run the bridge up and down from top to bottom of my vertical posts and never get out of position behind my scope. I can easily adjust the coarse vertical to within 1/4 MOA with my design While holding my joystick where I want to run my string of shots.

Ok i misunderstood i thought you meant it was only a pound lighter that the MAX which is around 40lbs i believe.

Mine weighs in at around 21lb. I have a MAX and it’s solid as a rock but I just can’t deal with the weight of that monster any more.

Thank you for yours gentlemen.

Wait for my next rest.

Just joking aside.

I only offer rests that work, and proven in competitions. I try my best. You can see and know that any of my rests are capable to win any matches without any modifications, on the right hands and circumtances.
I will let anyone says "bad thing" about my rests, the top the bag etc but the proof is always on papers and firing lines around the world. Not like some others, to sell my rests I never and do not try to belittle or to mention any bad things about other rests. That's absolutely not my style. Not like some others, I always come with my own rests design. You would never seen my rest immitates or similar to other rest, my rests always totally different than others. I also never buy or inspect other rest in my whole life. I never make something for other rests as well. My rest is my rest, yours is yours, for me.
We also support and do give back to F-Class, Benchrest and Rimfire BR. Probably more than others?
That's all and plain simple.

Thank you all,

+1 for the SEB MAX Rest. - I've shot 17 to 108 Lb. Rifles off of it. - The only thing I did was built my own extended forend stop that bolts on to the existing to accomidate some very long "wheel-base" stocks on some boomers.

My 2¢, you the shooter needs to pick what works for him. They all have pros cons. The mentioned names are well machined and all work well. That said, coaxial is not for everyone. Guys that shoot different disciplines most likely have a couple rests to suit. Myself, I mainly shoot LR BR and I turn knobs on a custom made rest. Coax never worked well for me and I've tried several. Anything you shoot that has unlimited sighters and a record target far away... Coax can be an advantage. To shoot well off a coax takes time to get used to using it. If you can, ask to try a rest at a match. I bet you will find guys more than willing to let you try their rest.

Seb rests are great and we sure do appreciate him giving back to us thru donations, excellent support, etc.
Sebastian is top notch. he has always gone above and beyond to support the shooting world and the individual shooters themselves. I have had one problem with one piece of one of my NEO's and he sent me a replacement part right away for zero cost on my part. He even offered me to send me a counterweight for one of the 6 coaxials that I use to own for free and I refused it. You get very little of that kind of service from anybody out there. I have a Lenzi sitting in my basement and only use it at home for load development but will always use a NEO when I'm at a match.

We F-Open and bench rest shooters have many great choices for a co-axial front rest to choose from. I started with a Shade Tree top on a Bald Eagle bottom and still use it. It works. It is lite and easy to transport. I also have a Farley which while weighing a ton also works and is solid as a rock. Most people on the line are using SEB's and seem quite happy with either their Neo or Mini. The newest rest looks good although I have not seen one yet. A new player entering the game only adds to the embaresment of riches we have. We are lucky to have so many good choices at different price points
