Lemi-shine

Dish Detergent Booster is what they call it.
I use it in tandem with Dawn (or generic equivalent). All it takes is a medium sized Lee Dipper full for a Thumbler B tub.

The Lemi-Shine , "Shine & Dry RINSE" in the blue and white bottle works very good , also .

If the brass comes out copper colored you used too much Lemishine.. Less is better than more in this instance .

Wife got the Shine & Dry Rinse I,ll get the boost also and test. These people from Austin,Tx,wonder if they know what we use it for?

I found it Hard to find in Oregone .
Walmart has it .

if you can't find Lemishine just use a squirt of lemon or lime juice. It's the citric acid that does the trick. Too much or too long of exposure and you dissolve a molecule thick layer of zinc and give the brass a reddish tint, it is just cosmetic, if it bothers you use a non ammonia based polish like NvrDull to make it yellow again

I keep the Lemi Shine Detergent Booster on hand and use it frequently, but no longer use it for case cleaning. I prefer RCBS ultrasonic and rotary cleaner liquid. Cases come out just as clean but stay shiny much longer.

Lemi Shine works wonderfully for decalcifying shower heads, faucet aerators and stainless steel dishwashers. In our area near Austin we have some amount of lime and minerals in the water, not a lot but many new homes do use water softeners so it is something of an issue. Lemi Shine keeps the plumbing working like it should, as well as keeping brass bright.

Greetings,
Don’t forget cream of tartar (tartaric acid). 1/2 tsp. In my Thumblers with Dawn soap makes the brass look like new.
