Leica Rangemaster CRF 2000-B

Hi All,

Considering one of these rangefinders:

Has anyone used one yet? Feedback you would give?

How does it do on non-reflective targets like game?

How is the ranging software? Can you enter your exact load date and bullets for the drops? Does the airpressure and temp seem to be fairly accurate, or would you still stick with additional tools for those measurements?

Anything else you would recommend in that price range ($750+/-) that may be different from the Leica? I hate to be a first adopter, but they are known for making a pretty good product.

Thanks in advance for any feedback and help!

I have had the Leica 1200 Range for several years not and it is my second favorite range finder, at this time. My favorite is the Bushnell 1500 yrd. binos. The are very large and very heavy compared to the Lecia`s and if I were going to carry them through the mountains all day I might flip my choice. The big question is, How far do you want to shoot? With a flat shooting rifle the temp. and air pressure don`t have a big effect at 600 yards on big game and ranging a deer at 600 gets iffy and most times with this range finder at that range you go to something close. I have had more than my fair share of range finders and if your looking for a range finder you can put in your pocket the Leica 1200 is by far the best I have ever owned, or even check out.

I'm sure it's all good, but if they didn't fix the ability to range through rain, snow, or fog, I don't want anything to do with it. I currently use the Leica 1600 and I easily pick up over 1800 yards on non reflective targets, but it's worthless during bad weather.

Sig Sauer is supposed to be releasing a 2400 RF with Applied Ballistics programming and bluetooth connectivity to a phone app. Been waiting around on that to happen so I can replace my Leica with something that works in rain and snow.

Here's a link to some info on the new RF Sig and AB are working on:
