Leica customer service and repair

I just wanted to let people know of my experience with Leica USA. Their customer service and repair department are top notch. I had a Leica 77 spotting scope eyepiece, (that I bought on this forum), that had some issues. My only solution to the problem was to try Leica and see if they would help. Of course, the warranty on the eyepiece was expired. So I expected to pay, perhaps it could be expensive. I heard of people having nightmares with the repair department, long wait time , expensive and they could not fix it because of parts no longer exist, To my surprise, they fixed my eyepiece,(free), in one day and I was informed that it is ready to be shipped. I just needed to call to pay for shipping. Jennine Jaques of customer care, was wonderful to deal with. She was so good to me, I told the President of Leica USA about her. So do not hesitate to deal with repair. Inform them first, repair@leicacamerausa.com. nilebartram

That’s good to know as I’ve got several Leica products and would like to have their newest range finder. It’s always good to here about the shooting community taking care of their own.
 
I had a leica 1600 rangefinder that went south after a few years. I mailed it in for repairs and they sent me a new one at no charge.

I concur. They were top notch when I had to send mine in after I dropped it and they were were EXCELLENT.
