Been playing with my new Leica 1600B Range master for about a month now. Still have more to do but so far I'm really impressed with this unit. I've ranged treelines out to 1570yds under bright conditions.
After selecting the appropriate ballistic curve, the unit will automatically give you the come-ups in quarter minute clicks on any range out to 880yds. Wish it went to 1K but manual says it doesn't go beyond 880 for safety reasons (???).
When the unit calculates come-ups it takes into consideration the temp., barometric pressure and the angle of the shot. It's not "clay bird" spot on but its as close as my dope sheets for the first shot.
You're on your own for wind corrections. I'd like to see the unit calculate out to 1k AND I'd like to see the come-ups displayed in decimal minutes. Right now I have to divide clicks by 4 to get minutes for rapid elevation changes.
