Lee Pro 1000

Can anyone give me some feedback on the Lee Pro 1000. I am new to pistol reloading and i was told this would be a good beginners choice. Thanks for any feedback in advance. I know i can get honest advice on this forum.

I got one a while ago, it will do as it claims, and the die set up was almost exact from the factory. In my opinion i would rather load single stage for my bench gun any day over this! Not to mock there product but you really need to stay focused no distractions and if it does screw up expect a mess, after you get afeel for it it is user friendly.

I've loaded thousands upon thousands with mine. I do an annual cleaning/maintenance and still smooth. Always had great success with Lee products. Love my breech lock Challenger press.

Had one and it worked good for 9mm and .38. You do have to pay attention to it and tweak it now and then. Good as a starter if you can get one at a good price otherwise there are better although pricier.

Thanks for the feedback. I know a dillon is way better but I can't afford one at this time. I'm going to be reloading 40 S&w.

I am using Classic turret press with Pro Auto-Disk Powder Measure with Lee dies. I am using this for my 40 SW. I only $150 in the complete set. Very pleased with it overall. Tim

I have done several thousand 45 with mine. I set it up as a bulk resizer then handprime all the brass to sort out any crimped primer pockets etc that cause headaches with the priming station. Then keep my brass sorted and good from then on. Little tweaking now an then but would buy another if money was an issue.
