Lee powder dispenser accuracy

Have Lee, RCBS and Lyman that have been using for years. The Lee gets used for extruded powder since it is more accurate on drops than the other 2 but they both beat it with Ball powders.

For the $ Lee is a good one especially for extruded powders, ball not so much IMO

The Lee is so cheap that I have five of them. Four are for specific loads and one is the general purpose for stuff that I don't load so often.

They are set to throw slightly under, with final trickling onto an A&D FX120i balance.

I just attach them to piece of scrap wood flooring that I them c-clamp to the loading bench as needed.

This is sure a first for me- ditch a chargemaster for a lee measure?

I did exactly the same. The Lee is much faster and since I trickle up, the Chargemaster or Lee accuracy wasn't a huge deal. Throw short and trickle to your weight.

Yeah but the ChargeMaster is automated and provides much more convenience. When throwing a 52gr charge for a rifle, the charge is ready and waiting for me by the time I decap, lube, size, and prime a case. Dump it in, seat the bullet, hit dispense on the ChargeMaster and grab the next case. So even if the throwing and trickling is faster, it's still two more steps you have to do. Hit dispense on the CM and forget about it til you're ready to charge the case. That's what I like :)

If all of your brass is prepped and ready to go, I can see the throwing and trickling method being an advantage for speed. But when prepping from fired case - to - a case that's ready for another bullet, the ChargeMaster saves you more time.

Love the Lee. It has a place on every loading bench. They do wear out. The rubber wiper goes away and eventually the cone gets so gouged that it doesn't work for squat. I load a lot of 4064(random length Lincoln logs) for the 308 Service rifle and nothing is faster than using the Lee to throw .3 under and trickling to final.
About 35% faster than using a ChargeMaster.
Haven't had a metal dispenser on my bench in several years.
