Lee Collet Neck Sizer affecting shoulder dimension

IMHO a universal collet die could be made for each caliber. A base die and then shims to change cartridge length.

I have bumped shoulders when using a standard die on a AI case. Just put a shim over the shell holder, it is not necessary to resize the entire neck. I find the 6PPC collet works better on a 6BR if you use a shim.

I find it difficult to get a uniform "squeeze" unless you adjust for a light "cam over".

I also use a Redding body die with the LCD, especially on the TC break open guns.

Any preference to bump shoulders first then necksize with the Lee Collet neck sizer die for .308 Lapua Palma neck turned brass or neck size first to obtain lowest runnout with sized case.

I use the Lee Collet Die almost exclusively for my .308 and bump the necks AFTER sizing the necks as I get better consistency in the headspace. When using the collet die, the brass not only flows towards the mouth as the neck is squeezed, but there is a little flow towards the neck as well that results in a little change in the headspace. And I don't find any change the my necks runout when bumping the the necks with my Forster Neck Bump Sizing Die when I do it after sizing.
