lecia lrf 900 or 1200

I can get my hands on a lecia lrf 900 for about what would be $140 less than the lrf1200. Is the saving worth it? From my understanding it is just the distance they read that differs and not optical quality, is this true? I will probably never shoot past 600 yards max so I am not sure if I would really need the 1200, but I still want the upmost quality. I had been going down the leupold route but have been steered off it, then I was going to get a swarovski but the lrf 900 can be had for nearly half the price, also do these have an illuminated display, this is quite important as I do use them when lamping.

I don't know if SWFA still has a special but the 1200 was just about the same price as the 900. I believe $459. Yep, according to their website the 1200 is $459 and the 900 is $449.
