Sure it has been discussed before. I am just curious if any think one would be more accurate than the other?

The standards for military cartridge cases are higher than commercial grade cases,(Remington) this includes the specifications for the cartridge brass alloy.
"ATK purchases over 95 percent of its casing brass from the Olin Brass Company in the form of brass case cups and bullet jacket cups. This purchase is a fixed-price, fixed-time agreement. Olin Brass also supplies U.S.-based commercial ammunition manufacturers with brass sheet metal for cartridge casings.18 During the fiscal year 2005 production surge, Olin Brass met the increased demands without causing any disruption of small-arms ammunition production at Lake City"

So after sorting say a sack of 100 cases you keep maybe 20 that will make grade, I know I started out that way,...what do you do with the 80 pieces of JUNK brass? makes a box of 100 cases pretty expensive doesn't it? Buy Lapua and cry once and out of a box of 100 you will only find part of one row that won't be good enough to compete with! but since this thread isn't about Lapua then LC would definitely get my vote over RemingtonSAGERAT said:Lapua is great but spendy for the high volume shooter, Norma is hit and miss, Winchester is not bad, Remington is usually the worst, Lake City can be good or bad but I don't like it for my varmint loads. All said, cheapy Remington is just fine if you do a little sorting. Prep your cases, then sort by weight. I happen to have thousands of rounds of Remington factory brass in .223, 22-250, 25/06, after the sorting is done, they shoot just fine. anneal frequently, you'll get decent case life.
