LC 7.62 brass— any good?

I’ve acquired several hundred of these from pure serendipity. I’m not a .308 guy and don’t even own one. This was almost certainly all fired from a mini gun door gun as it was picked up from an aerial gunnery range and took several washes just to purge sticks and leaves and mud.

It’s all recent headstamps (2014+). Is this as good as the LC .223 brass?

LC brass is good stuff but takes lots of work to get it ready to shoot. I've used it in a couple of 308's to successfully shoot out to 1000yds. I would be very concerned with some that was shot out of a MG. They tend to have large chambers to aid in their cycling and usually will not be so good in anything else. Even sizing with a small base due doesn't work. Once brass had been over expanded it tends to stick in a smaller chamber. Give it a try with a mild load, you might just get lucky!

Yes, I assume a mini gun has big sloppy chambers and this stuff was worked pretty hard. But before I buy case gauges and dies and such I wanted a general thumbs up on the quality.

It did not feel right in my rem 700 so i gave it to my brother in law and his ar10 eats it just fine.
