Lawton actions

I'm considering building a rifle using a Lawton 7500 action.
I originally heard good reports, but now I'm hearing problems with how true they are. Has any one used them or have any information about them?

What have you heard about them being out of specs ?
I'm sure that if a action was found to be off, that they would replace it.
I hope so anyways as I just ordered 2, 7500 actions from them.

I think that the propblem WAS that Barnery was getting his bolts from an outside source and their QC was lacking, from what I understand their were not to many that got away that were out of spec and supposedly they were replaced at no expense.

Spot on JD, I had to call them after that post I entered, and your correct that they had the bolts then outsourced and they make their own now, and any problems with the new ones will be corrected if by chance you can find a problem with them.
That problem was a while ago anyways...........

Well they had better be Ok coz the six yes,6) actions i ordered back in June that were to be delivered late september early October were apperantly completed and sent to the exporter on the 5th of december are still there coz Lawntons have lost the paperwork and it never got to the exporter to arrange the export permit and now i am waiting on a new permit to import to send over so as i may eventualy get the actions in MArch Maybe.
I hope you have more luck but he may have actions on hand as if i hadn`t allready paid for them i would have cancelled maybe others have.
