Lawton actions - Why are they not delivering??

I got my left hand Lawton Actioned rifle in 6br from RimfireMagic here in the UK back in Feb. 2010. A great rifle and great service from a well run business. I heard then that Lawton were in difficulties.

The owners of lawton should at least tell the truth about their demise and it is sad when people take money upfront and spend it and refuse to work with people.It is a disaster to small business.I had a small archery business and it went under and all I can say was no one got ripped off but me in the end.

This is a real shame as the Lawton is a very nice action, My smith just got his new Lawton 7500, Quality still looks the same as when Barney was running it, top shelf. Maybe his kids just don't have good business sense, topped with a bad economy may spell disaster, I hope there customers like rimfiremagic get what they have coming to them. I wish the best for the Lawton family and hope they pull out of this slump and fill there orders.

i had good comunication with them up until about the 22nd and then they stoped responding. i sent my action back and they still have it. maybe they went on vacation"
