I was not satisfied with the service I received from Lawton nor the quality. The metal was soft, it was out of round .003 and the trigger cut was sloppy. Still, it shoots fine. I do not have first hand knowlege of a Predator.

How thing are diffrent for each person. I had Lawton build me a barrel action on a 7500 action jewel triger and in 6.5x55. They answered all question every time I called the About the project. The barrel action was delivered on time they said. My experance with them was excellent. The Local gum smith but a muzzel brake on it for me a after looking and shooting it he was impressed with the work and action. It shoots great. Best group is .180 at 100.

I've had 4 Alpines, 2 Predators but no experience with the Lawton. and I like the Alpines better.

I just pulled my 7500 Lawton out of my blueprinting jig and was surprised at how close it was to being perfect after hearing story's about how bad they were....
After dialing in on the bolt race way to less than 1/10,000, run out at the receiver front, and the lugs was .000 and the threads were well under .001 from being dead on.... Pretty darn happy with the outcome after waiting so long for it...
Never had a problem during the deal with them that wasn't taken care of promptly..
I bedded it last night, and probably will start shooting it the end of the week....

Got a Predator coming, just waiting on the Shilen barrel. In the
mean time I found this 400x. Looks like a good deal. Thanks
