What do you guys think about a Grizzly gunsmith lathe or maybe an Enco ? I'm on a budget and can't afford a $10,000.00 lathe ! I'm just talking about something to start out with.

Where are you located? Bill Myers, a noted rimfire smith, has a Rockwell for sale in excellent condition with most of another for parts and a slew of tooling. He wants $4000. for all of it. It already has a cat head, various chucks, quick change tool post, and just a lot of tools needed for gunsmithing. It has either a 1.375 or 1.437 spindle size. It is variable speed. I like them better than the far eastern built machinery.
