So is a 22-204 back to the parent case, a 222mag?

Good work, I'm not that familiar with that particular round. However I have a 204 that I really like despite it being a cheap model, what does the caliber you're using make it different. I use a 26 grain NTX Hornady factory round for fox, gh, and coyote out to 300 a long shot here and it's never failed yet. Occasionally I shoot a 35 grain Berger factory. I've also had really good results when stretching shots to 400 (rare) using Hornadys 40 grain V-max.90% of my shooting is 300 and under. In your hill country you need to stretch your legs more.Yea the 22-204 is Hard on them!
