Laser Rangefinders

I need to buy one of these in the next few weeks.I searched the post and got some great info.

I may need to go out as far as 1000 yds and before I buy I want to make sure I'm getting the most bang for the buck.

I narrowed it down to the Leica 1200 scan and the Bushnell yardage Pro Quest--which as,you know, are eally binoculars.
I'm leaning towards Bushnell because i get dual iuse:searching and range estimation.

Any input guys.
Thanks
Tom

Have used several different ones over the years. A little Bushnell 800 served well for quite a while.

Just took delivery on a Swarovski a couple of weeks ago. Oh my... The thing is awesome. Yes, it's $850 or so... But well worth it. I've ranged stuff out to 1500+ yards, easy. The glass itself is superb, the kind of glass a fellow would expect from Swarovski. I plan on using it as a replacement for both my binoculars and my old laser rangefinder because the glass is so good. It serves as an 8x30 monocular, with tremendous clarity.

Okay - I'm sold on it. Give one a try - you might be too. I had to work some overtime and save for several months before I could afford mine.

Check out this price on the Leica 1200: www.snipershide.com/ubb/ultimatebb.php?ubb=get_topic;f=19;t=005088#000000

This would be my choice.

I have been pleased with the preformance of my old Bushnell 1000 Yardage Pro
for a lot of years, it has ranged big stuff out to 1300 plus yards.

Here's some long-range hunters discussing the Swarovski. Worth a read before spending money.

Unfortunately, I have champagne taste but a beer budget. I've got a Bushnell Yardage Pro and for little things it's OK. I'd like to step up and have been looking at the Leupold rangefinders, the Mark III in particular. Does anyone here have any experience with the Leupold rangefinders and willing to share their opinion??
