I can appreciate Big Ed's love affair with pin gauges but the tool I showed, and have, measures precisely .2105 for a large primer on the "NO GO" end. That means that it will only enter primer pocket that is oversized by at least 5/10ths. Maybe not good enough for someone with incurrable OCD but more than enough for those that otherwise would just shoot the brass util they could seat primers with their thumb.
It's the difference between just over $10 or a minimum of $80 for a pin gauge set, some up to $300 or so. Even if you purchase individual pin gauges you'll end up spending far more than what the Go-No gauge will cost one.
Big Ed said the key words. "Worthless for HIS needs". Not everyone has his needs or level of OCD.
FWIW, many of those who have AR-15 bolts that look like his picture are among the group that also brags online on how they see no need to clean primer pockets and only toss their brass when they pick it up from the ground and see that there is no primer in it.
