Sirs, please make us some brass for 300 WSM.

Shooters, please display your support and potential annual demand for new cases. Point your 300 WSM and 7-300 WSM buddies here to this thread, like this post, and post up there potential annual consumption.

The above Companies need to sense the real marketplace demand prior to their investment. I feel like this is undervalued market segment for them (precision 300 WSM for BR, Fclass, ELR, & LR hunting), this thread could serve to demonstrate a much higher market demand then the assumptions they’re making business decisions off of now.

So please post it up.

I’d purchase 500-600 pieces annually if available.

I would L-O-V-E to see more brass manufacturers of the cases we all use. But I have ZERO problems with the Norma .300WSM brass. It is consistent, tough and available for the most part. If A LOT more people get into the 300WSM arena, then there will be brass shortages for the WSM. Personally, I believe that in the next 3 or so years, you WILL see nearly as many or maybe even MORE .300WSMs on the F-Open firing line than you see 7mms now. Then we will need more brass and a market savvy, foresighted brass manufacturer will make a killing!

Just vcurious as I have been thinking about moving up from .284 WIN....how do you manage to go through 500 to 600 cases of one calibre per year?

But finding Norma brass is hard. Been on wait list and still waiting. No one online has them in stock based on my research.

Whoever steps up first and makes a quality 300 wsm case could take over the market share from Norma. Bigger demand for it than meets the eye I think. Lack of brass might scare some off from choosing to shoot that cartridge too

I have talked to Peterson and Lapua more then once. I talked to Lapuas reps and they say they will report it to them. I also talked to Peterson on the phone and through messages. It seems it falls on deaf ears. Matt
What Matt said, they are tired of hearing from me so it isn't because they don't know..

To me it makes sense to make 300 WSM. It's like how ADG picked up the 300 RUM, 338 RUM, and 338 Edge. Switch some tooling around and it isn't a big deal. They could make 270 WSM, 7WSM, and 300 WSM with the same material's just changing some small tooling around.

They claim not to have time but than pop out small niche long range brass. WSM has production rifle appeal as well, I don't understand it.

Looks like up 12600 pieces of brass committed to plus another 4 Don Diffeys worth, so that could be 20k in the first 24 hours of the poll. Please keep sending folks here to vote to help make the economic argument match the perceived demand disconnect.

Some big shoots need 300 loaded rounds. Then if you have multiple guns, it isn't hard having to use 500 rounds. I am a BR guy and never shoot another guns brass in a gun. I use sets for each gun. I have two heavy guns and two light guns. So I need 40 for gun for a shoot. That's 160 loaded. Then you have shoots where they shoot multiple matches and shootouts. Sometimes 6 in a weekend. That's a lot of brass loaded. Matt

when I had a 300 wsm quality brass was pretty much a joke. lack of brass..i gave up and moved on.
some one call me when decent brass is AVAILABLE.

Thanks. i got that. I have 400 cases and often shoot 200-300 round events. What i did not understand was how one could go through 500 or 600 cases every year. I shoot about 2500 to 3000 rounds per year and my lapua brass, annealed after every firing, is now running average 13 cycles with no wear signs. but another poster answered my question. thanks
