Lapua Brass, Lost 51 pcs Right Off the Bat!

I've had trouble with a batch of Lapua 223 brass also, and Thomas wouldn't help me out.

Lake City is my go to 223 brass. Never had a problem with it, and it is WAY more consistent than Lapua 223. And I've weighed and measured thousands of NEW Lapua and Lake City 223 cases.

I'd have to agree. Lapua may be the go-to in 6BR, but the 223 isn't worth the extra money over LC. You can still find 250 ct bags of new LC for under 40 bucks.

Can you list a source? I can only find once fired. Is it all same headstamp?

Thanks.

Federal American Eagle brand 250ct bags labeled "5.56x45mm NATO" are current 15-16 LC. New, unprimed brass. I just picked up 2 bags friday at a local store for $42.95 ea. Avg net price is 50-52 but its still a decent deal. Have seen as low as 38.

The ones labeled "223 Rem" are FC headstamp. Its not horrible brass but it is trimmed short, which is OK for 20 Prac.

Apologies to all for the delay here, but frankly I haven't visited the site in a while. Been a crazy year here so far this year and things have been a bit hectic. I'm in and out of the office and spending a great deal of time on the road. The best way to reach me for any sort of issue like this is to contact me directly, at kthomas@nammoinc.com. You can also catch me at the office at (660) 826-3232, assuming I'm not out on the road.

My 200 pieces of Lapua had a weight variance of 4.5 grains. 500 pieces of new LC 11 had a variance of 2.4 grains. The lapua brass shoots 50% smaller groups at 600 than the LC and I've done everything I can to make it shoot as good as the Lapua and it wont.
