lapua brass for 22-250 A.I.

In order to maximize my ability to group with this new rifle (for me) is it necessary to uniform primer pockets and deburring the flash hole like I have done on Rem brass for 22-250? Thanks, Tom

I would uniform the pockets myself... However due to the way Lapua creates their flash holes i would not go digging around in there with a tool devised to remove a "flap" that isnt there... When flash holes are punched out they often have a flap , not so if they are drilled.

I don't think it will be worth the effort to mess with Lapua pockets, they seem awfully perfect. Uniforming pockets in any brass has never been proven to be worth the trouble, yet for common types I always uniform away to my heart's content - I think it might help get me into heaven. And when a lot of brass shavings come out, I can't help but think it makes a difference.

thanks guys! I will stop the flash hole work but probably uniform the pockets! I am old/retired and need something to do in front of the tv
on these winter nights in northern Indiana! Tom
