Lapua blue box 6mm BR cases

Yes I always get an extra case in the 6mmbr box but there is always one or two that have tiny dents that look like the came of the machine that way. So no I never get an extra one so to speak, always end up short.

Are they coming in cardboard boxes now? I haven’t got anything real current.
Just got a carboard box of Lapua Palma .308 cases and unlike the plastic boxes that have always had 100 +1 in the count, the carboard box only has 100. It appears to me that this change to the way they're in the cardboard box is to address the issue of having various case mouths dented in the bulk filled plastic boxes.

Just an FYI, as I always do when I've received new brass, I take a bunch of measurements to see how they compare to my other I have on hand. Using pin gauges, these brass have .004 - .005 neck tension and primer pockets are .119 - .120 in. deep. Case length is a very consistent 2.007". Headspace measurements are a pretty consistent too at 1.602", the same as what I size my brass to. Case Head thickness was very consistent measuring .180 - .182" (Peterson Palmas measuring .190 - .195) Some of these Lapua brass have a very slight burrs on the inside of the mouths.

I always figured that they weigh the finished product before sealing it up and sending it out, instead of counting the cases. If there is any question on the total weight, they add an extra case to make sure you have the full 100 pieces. That was just my assumption.

I've never received a extra case of 6.5 CM, small primer. At least 10 boxes.
I'm not a fan of the new cardboard box. I've never had a dented neck from the plastic box. My cases are run thru a sizing die, then chamferd and deburred before loading anyway.

I used to say that. The last few boxes (6BR) I got had between 2 and 6 that needed a mandrel (or 2 depending on dent depth) run through prior to sizing. You don't want to try and chamfer a dented neck.
