Lapua 6mmbr neck diameter

Going to order a set or Forster dies for my son's upcoming 6mmbr and was looking for unturned, loaded round neck diameter so that I can have the neck honed to the proper size . Will be setting proper neck tension with a mandrel , just hate overworking the brass. Thanks for the help !!

.272 is suppose to be no turn, it can vary depending on your brass

The bullet measures .2433. The mic’s read .2682 on the neck of the 6BR Lapua Case when a .2433 bullet is seated.

My 6mm BR was chambered with a Manson reamer that has a .2725 neck. I had Forster hone my die to .265 and it works great.

All but one lot I have had in the last 7-8 years measured .268-.2685

I had my die honed to .2645

.2682 minus .2433=.0249
.0249 divided by 2 = ..0124 average wall thickness.
Look at the picture of the micrometer.

My Forester die for my 6BR with the expanded ball taken out will bring the neck down to .260 on my Lapua brass. I then put it through Sinclair .241 mandrel. I should send my die to them to get honed.

I still don’t really know if the life of my brass would ever know the difference?

The bullet measures .2433. The mic’s read .2682 on the neck of the 6BR Lapua Case when a .2433 bullet is seated.

With unturned Lapua brass (multiple lots), I use a SAC 0.264" bushing during FL sizing, followed by a 0.2405 mandrel.

When I check them with gauge pins I get about 65% that measures 0.240" and about 35% will be 0.2405". Out of a hundred checked I might get one that is 0.241".

I thought that the brass with a bullet in it was measuring .2433
