best bushing for unturned lapua 6mmbr

what have you guys been finding to be the best bushings and or neck tension for unturned lapua 6mmbr ? particularly with 105 amax and bthp?

I think I was using a .266 but when I buy bushings I buy the one I need along with the next one up and down.

I alternate between .266 and .267. Both seem to work about the same. I get a .268 loaded round with the Berger 80 grain FBs. I have skimmed the necks twice now in 9 firings, just taking off a very minor amount of material on the neck and cleaning the "donut" at the shoulder.

Well assuming your necks are right you should get a .268 loaded round no matter what bushing you use.

I have .266 .267 .268. I was just curious what has been working for everyone else. I've had good luck with. 268 but tension is so light that once chambered you have to fire it or the bullet sticks in the land and you end up spilling powder. so I'm trying to stick with. 267. I always like to ask what's working for everyone else first so I can learn from others as well.

Agreed. You can use a .264 or a .266 bushing and, if you haven't turned the neck, the end result with bullet seated should be the same as long as the bullet diameter remains constant.

I would prefer to have more then 1thou of neck tension. I go for 2thou.

I use a .266 bushing with unturned Blue Box brass. Gives me about .002 to .0025 neck tension. Works well for me.

One thing I learned recently....Redding isn't perfect with their sizing. I have a .267 that is actually .2665. Works fine and my dasher likes it but I expected them to be dead on the nose and it wasn't....for the record my .266 is dead on the nose.

I'm running Forster. I've only ever had two redding dies and wasn't happy. redding fl die tore the neck of the only 6mmbr case I ran through it.

I've been using a .267 for my kids 6br. Unturned Lapua brass and Berger hybrids. This has pretty stiff seating so I'm going to try a .268 (which was a little hard to find this summer).

if you run a light neck tension is it safe to say you can run a slightly faster burn powder.

No... the burn rate means little at that stage - it is when the bullet engages the rifling, and the gas tries to push a oversized bullet into an undersized bore, that burn rate is important... critical.

They do sometimes run a little tighter than what they are supposed to be.
