lapua 6br brass sorting by weight

i am not a benchrest shooter/competetor. however, i seek the one hole group with every rifle i have built and usually achieve one. when sorting above brass by weight, what weight difference is usual/accepted to group these cases? the assumption of course that doing sorting will assist in accuracy. i bought blue box 6br lapua lot# poo568501 and weighed them...varies from 124.8 gr to 127.9 gr. one group contains the majority, measuring 0.3 gr difference. is .3 difference too picky? some argue that weight sorting is of no benefit, i know. just trying everything i can do(bryn litz's "determinate factors") to get that one hole, at least once. thanks, as always.

I sort by weight but use them all, just reload the lightest first and put them in the box, then the next lot and so on, that way I can use all cases but there is never more than .1gr difference between cases in each group.

Are you weighing them before or after you prep them? I don't do it any more because there are too many differences on the outside......jim

Lucky you ;) I had different results http://forum.accurateshooter.com/index.php/topic,3769048.msg35973786.html#msg35973786
