Lapua 223 brass - Loaded Neck?

I have not tried Lapua .223 brass but I have been told the neck metal is thicker than most other .223 brass on the market. I don't know if this is true or not. Does anyone have any info on what the neck diamter is of loaded .223 rounds using the current Lapua .223 brass.

.223 Remington brass comes in new and used lots. BOTH require some degree of preparation prior to loading. I've never yet found the perfect, ready-to-load case that hasn't required a slight degree of tweaking. Lapua brass normally requires the least amount of prepping, BUT I prep all cases equally. That's just me, because I trust nothing to change when configuring maximum loads. cliffy

None of that has anything to do with neck diameter.

Robert: My Lapua is uniformly .250' maximum,, might be a few ten thousandths less/ can't measure that close), and am using a .253 tight, no-turn neck on several of my rifles. Neck bushing at .248', so all is fine, and brass being worked minimal. groupshooter22: I hope that's a typo, with your measurement of very close to .260'?;)

Thank you, Ackman, for correcting my posts. Brass neck thickness remains not a major factor regarding LAPUA brass. Lapua brass is as good as it gets. A problem in handloading remains as an individual problem, unrelated to precision cases. cliffy

Your posts are for the most part meaningless.

This one has no bearing on what was asked. And the last sentence makes no sense. Are you drunk when you write this stuff?

Let's assume that .25' is nominal! Other factors such as case volume appear more crucial than neck thickness. Attempting to find fault with the LAPUA case falls slightly short of ridiculous. No other brand of brass even comes close to Lapua perfection. Yes, I'll reload most brass I find afield, but rarely do I find discarded Lapua Match brass. Somehow these cases are coveted. I wonder why? I do buy Hornady brass because it is second in perfection ONLY to LAPUA. cliffy
