Lapua 155

I've been shooting Berger 155.5's in my 7.62 NATO 40x and it shoots them very well . However called Bruno's to find they were out and don't expect anymore for a month or two . Emailed Mcgee's no response . Lapua 155 's are available so I was wondering how they compare to the Berger's .

I used 2000 of them one year and they do shoot well. They do have quite a long bearing surface. Essentially they use their 180 grain jacket with 155 gr. lead fill. The nose is an empty shell. Not sure why they did this but it does lead to issues. For the Palma rifle with a Palma throat they will be seated quite deeply in the case. Lot's of crunching powder. If one has a standard .308 chamber they will be great but with a Palma chamber it is tough to get enough powder in the case to make velocity for 1K yards.
