LAPD Officers Say More Patrol Needed In Times Of Emergency

CBS2’s Randy Paige reports that many officers believe there aren’t enough of them to go around — especially in an emergency.

“The citizens need to know they need to be able to protect themselves because if they call 911, we can’t guarantee we’re going to get there in time to help you,” says Police Protective League President Jamie McBride.

This is no surprise. The State of California has practically eliminated self defense a justifiable reason to use a firearm. There are so many restrictions on firearms that using a firearm outside of your residence will most likely result in multiple violations of the law, and then when a firearm is used, the DAs strictly scrutinize a citizen for using a firearm. Only agents of the state get a pass on using a firearm.

RandyD, they also give the real criminals a pass when they use a firearm. Instead of putting them away for a decade or two, they plea bargain them to a few months after they do an armed robbery or home invasion. But when an honest citizen defends themselves with a firearm outside the home, they can expect to have every possible charge thrown at them. I'm glad I finally escaped from the People's Republic of California a few years ago, after watching that great Golden State turn into a cesspool over the last 50 years. The only reason the citizens can get away with using a firearm to defend themselves INSIDE their own homes, is because some of those same scum bag DA's prosecuted people for shooting in self defense in their own homes or business' and the citizens got fed up and were able to pass a "Voter's Initiative" that made it a legal presumption that the residents were acting in self defense unless the DA's could prove otherwise. The corrupt politicians can't overturn that voter's initiative on their own. They'd have to put it on the ballot and they know they would lose.
