so i was looking on rifle stocks.com and found a stock that i really like, its called {marksman style} in brown/brown laminate, im going to build on a savage SA or REM 700 SA. i wanted to see if anyone has used or seen one with the 2 1/2 inch forearm . iv searched for images but can't find any. im thinking it looks kinda the savage varmint stock? any help is much appreciated

I have had two. They are copies of the Winchester Marksman stock from the 50s thru 70s. They are OK, solid stocks. I, personally, like the Culbertson style as it has a more vertical pistol grip and one can order it with extra material in that area to make the grip longer and/or larger in diameter in case one wants to carve finger grooves or palm swell. As a varminting stock the Marksman should work well.
