In a word, pressure. Annealing won't fix loose primer pockets and a big percentage of ppc group shooters are loading to that high node, where primer pockets are commonly the first thing to go.I'm a little confused about the annealing. People who shoot the 30BR swear by annealing as do the long range shooters, so why shouldn't it work for the ppc?
I have shot quite a bit of the Norma ppc brass. The finished round ends up like 265 with the Barts bullets I was using at the time if I remember correctly.Lee, maybe not ideal, but it might be worth trying, MidwayUSA and Graf & Sons both have Norma 6PPC brass in stock. The necks are a little thinner than virgin Lapua 220R, but if you're turning them anyway it's a non-issue.
