Our range has overhead baffles on our rifle and pistol ranges.Has anyone had an issue with using the LabRadar below a series of overhead range baffles? I’ve heard unsubstantiated claims that it may cause problems. I’d like one, but not with structural interference issues.
That’s what I thought. With such a narrow beam angle, how could you have issues if nothing is near the projected signal.Aiming the radar is critical. It has a spread of 7 degrees
on the beam. So if anything obstructs the path of the
beam, you can have problems.
LOL, does the JKL trigger make the range baffles invisible?
Not sure how your range is configured but my local public range the benches have a roof over them and the range has baffles both high and low and I dont have any issues with my labradar. My thought exactly. I use the inerta trigger and mine errors out on my range. I do now how to aim both the rifle and the lab radar. Don't get me wrong, I love the labradar but I do not try to grab velocities on that range.
I may play with it at some point but it works fine on the other ranges. The current configuration is what makes sense for the calibers I'm running and the fact that I'm using the external trigger. Not sure how your range is configured but my local public range the benches have a roof over them and the range has baffles both high and low and I dont have any issues with my labradar.
I also used my labradar in an indoor 75 foot pistol range and the only point I could get was No1
so I was next to a concrete wall. I figured what the heck I know its probably not going to work but im here give it a shot and the unit worked.
I dont use any triggering device, I would try it without the triggering device and check all the settings.
Check all the settings below.
select vel. range
set proj. offset

THIS^^^^Get the alignment right and it works fine. My local range has several rows of baffles.
