Labradar "triggers"

Greg Piet shoots at my range here in Vegas. I have been using it for 1.5 years now and its easy to use, but can give false triggers when cycling the bolt etc..

That was my experience with long actions , I experimented a bit and stick it on the stock a little forward of the action - very few false triggers now

I made one from a $4.99 electret lapel mic off of Ebay. I added a potentioneter to it to control the sensitivity. Beats going into the menu to adjust trigger level. There is a drawback to it however. The particular mic I bought is not directional enough to attenuate the sound from an adjacent shooting bench and a loud rifle alongside will trigger it if the LabRadar is armed, awaiting your shot. The LabRadar does provide the required voltage for an electret mic. Electret mic wiring diagrams abound on the internet.

I ordered my trigger on Monday and received it two days later. I plugged it in, and and the slightest tap triggers my Labradar. As advertised, and super fast delivery. Good job Mr Piet.

+1 for Greg Piet's trigger. Original 'inventor'. Ships out right away. Seems to be great guy. He has helped give advice to some foreign members of the LRO's fB group who can't import his trigger, so they can make their own. There is another trigger , made later, on the market here in US. I prefer to buy from original even though Greg's trigger is a few bucks more. Just a principal thing to me.

I bought mine for 'just_in_case' reason. Used it one time, and, that was just to see if it worked. Which it did. Now lives in the LR bag's pouch compartment. Nice insurance. :)
