Labradar trigger

Any tips on getting it to trigger with sub sonic and suppressed ammo? My will sometimes, then trigger when I gently close the bolt. I have the orange colored external trigger velcroed to the side of the stock. I set the Labradar to handgun.

I have the airgun trigger, the inertial trigger, and of course the built-in doppler. I mess around with suppressed and unsuppressed subsonic rimfire and airgun. Even with doppler I need to be careful to get the offset just right Honestly I can't get 100% with any setup, or what works one day might not work another day or collect false readings. I'm at the point where I need to record exact settings for exact situations and build a list of what works so that I don't waste as much time on days where data collection is crucial.

For suppressed I gave up on set up or positioning the labradar perfectly (or trying too) and ended up using the external trigger… I just looped it around the scope … probably harder contact or direct plastic to metal (not Velcro) might help if you are missing shots?

While I never missed shots with the trigger and it is nice having more flexibility in labradar placement, I too would have issues closing the bolt… hate having to “press enter to continue”

I use the app on my phone to arm/disarm and arm after I’ve chambered a round. For semi-auto this works fine… for bolt, it’s a bit more button pushing…. I never played with adjusting the sensitivity (don’t know how/if that works with the trigger?)… haven’t shot suppressed in a while so I didn’t do much experimenting… interested it what others have found.

For rimfire, suppressed or unsuppressed does not matter if the Labrader is set
to pickup the shot using Doppler instead of trigger. As long as it is not any of the hyper velocity ammo.

The pointing of the Labradar and the offset of the barrel would affect the results
whether you are using the internal trigger/doppler setting or an external trigger
device.

I have the orange one as well. It has an internal magnet in it. So I got another dime sized rare earth magnet and put it on my scope rings and put the trigger at that spot.

But you have to adjust the sensitivity to a very low level. Try 6 or 7. Since your shooting has almost zero recoil it should stay in place.

For my full power loads I use the same method, on 5 sensitivity but place the magnetic trigger on the receiver in front of the front scope ring base. 98% of the time it will not trigger when I close my bolt. However it's a very smooth tikka action. If you are working with a semi auto or a rougher bolt you may need to goto 4, or do the arm and unarming method as described above. My arisaka 99 uses sensitivity #4.

All in all I would play with the sensitivy and magnet and/or velcro strap placement with spare ammo until you get where you want it. Since you have virtually no recoil, maybe even try the sling stud.

I had some luck today. Upper the trigger sensivity and messing with the placement of the Piet trigger. Set to handgun.
