My uncle just returned off a Marco Polo and ibex hunt Kyrgystan. I thought some here may enjoy the pics. He said it was a pretty wild hunt, shot his ram out of group of 18 rams that were pretty wild. It was a long shot, one shot. I told him I like the Ibex as much as the sheep. I’ve seen some Ibex in New Mexico climbing cliffs that would have to be seen to be believed, amazing animals. 73 years old and still getting after it, pretty cool.

Nice.. lol, I thought you were trying to be funny typing in the title. I guess there are a lot of places not only can I not pronounce but say either. Hope your uncle keeps going like he is. My Dad is 89 and only now starting to go down a little, otherwise, still much a man.

Man oh man thats a dream hunt. Usually you cant afford it until youre too old to enjoy it. I had a customer lose a matched pair of rifles at a border crossing after a marco polo hunt.

My buddy just got back about 3 weeks ago and got the same, absolutely incredible. This was his second time there and he stayed about 4-5 weeks this time, he became good friends with the outfitter and he took him all over country after the hunt.

Lol, I thought the same thing but I think it’s still a good one judging from what you can see if the ibex.

That would awesome, I don’t think I’d travel that part of the world without a local or someone that knew it well. There’s quite a few hunters that visit there but I think you’d be wise to be conservative in what you do.
