Currently these barrels are hard to find, I'm not sure why. I bought this with the intention to chamber it in either 6.5 Creedmoor or 6.5 PRC. This is a 1:8 twist barrel, so would work for either. There seem to be other vendors making 6.5mm barrels, so hoping this may be an opportunity for someone that has a short action stock to trade. EDIT: one caveat I just realized when a user was asking about the action, is that it needs to be Remmington 700 short action capable and take AICS length mags.
I offered this to a gent here on AS that was looking for such a barrel, but he hasn't replied and I thought this might be an opportunity for someone who may have a short action hunting stock, preferably something that is light weight, but I'm open to any stock in either partial or full trade, or if you have something really nice I may be willing to add some cash on my side.
It could be an opportunity for any of you folks that may have multiple short action stocks. Anything is really of interest, I currently have an AICS 1.5 short action chassis and it's pretty darn heavy, about 5.5 lbs stripped. Monte Carlo, chassis, even a wood stock, but this is intended for my hunting rifle and prefer to keep it light. Not looking to give it away, so if I sell it I would want $475 + shipping. That stands for @Chuck Wells also. The price at bugholes.com and Krieger is $490 when they're in stock. I would replace it later, or go with another vendor. Lots of options these days. In that regard trade seems more advantageous for both sides.
