Konus konuspot 65, 80, or 100?

Does anyone have experience with any of these? The 65 is 15-45x and the 80 and 100 are 20-60x. I am looking for a budget spotter to help spot hits on steel, see bullet splash on misses, and hopefully pick up bullet trace out to 600 yds. I would also like to be able to see bullet holes in paper out to about 300 yds. Would any of these 3 be capable of that? I have currently just been using another rifle to spot with and would like to have something to spot with when shooting lower power scopes. Hopefully that makes sense. Also, which of the 3 would be the best choice for this?

I have the 80. Ive had it about 10 years and other than .22 cal I'm able to see holes out to 300yds depending on the target. I can't address anything past 400. This scope has preformed well for the price point. That being said I'm not competing but it has met my needs.

I have used mine (20x60x80) out to 1000 yards, didn't see my bullet holes but the shot spotters and score spotters were easily seen. I like my mine based on the price range and what I expected from it for the $ spent and it has served me well for what I needed. I have a regular quality scope stand which is much better than the original tripod.

I had the 20X60X100, nice. It was just too large for my needs. I sold it and purchased the 20X60X80, much happier. The focus adjustment is reasonably fine. I could easily see my .22 holes at 600 yards (unfortunately they are easier to see when they impact in the white). Of the shooters that viewed through it could see any difference from the Pentax of the same magnification. I am sure there are differences somewhere to justify the additional $1000.00 for the Pentax. .

The issue with all these high magnification scopes is movement. You will not get by with a cheap, light weight tripod. Especially now that most of the new tripods have quick release mounts made of plastic.

The 100 is a BIG scope and depending on your scope stand, may have a hard time holding position. I use the 80 and like it just fine. I get a good bit of Chromatic Aberration at higher magnification on really bright days, but I typically have it focused at midrange for mirage and can still see the spotter and scoring disc just fine.

Celestron makes a comparable model that's a good scope, as well.

I have the 20-60x80. I use it for f class mostly, it does what I need it to do. If I was banging steel all the time or want to see bullet holes at 300 yards this scope will do it.
