KM arbor press/Sinclair L.E Wilson micrometer seater

Just out of curiosity is anyone running the KM arbor press with the Sinclair L.E Wilson micrometer seater?

I am finally setting up to load my 300 PRC. Right now using a rock chucker out in my tool shed. Looking to bring some of my process indoors. Mainly the priming, charging and seating. Sizing I will continue to do out in the tool shed.

I haven’t ordered my FL bushing die set yet. I see Redding has the type S FL bushing die and Sinclair/L.E. Wilson micrometer seater is coming out for the 300 PRC.

Good, bad, horrible? Let me know what you guys think.

I noticed the simplicity behind the design. Also I can use it indoors and keep my traditional set up out in the tool shed. Just don’t have much room in the house. Tool shed has a wood stove and I do enjoy being out there. But I want to upgrade my scale set up and load everything at a consistent controlled temperature.

Yeahhhhh
I’m kinda there myself

I have a number of both Wilson and KM tools and happy with all of their tools I own. Wilson went the extra mile in making a seater die for my 7-06AI. Would not hesitate to purchase more equipment from either company. Really like the 30 degree chamfer tool in conjunction with my Wilson trimmer. Wish they would add an external chamfer tool for use with their trimmer.

K&M arbor with force feedback, and Wilson micrometer (not Wilson / Sinclair micrometer - there is a difference) is what I have on my bench.

I did start buying the Wilson FL/B's. I have a few and so far have not complaints. The 6.5 Creedmoor is wider at the top of the body than Reddings, but for the reamer that my smith uses that works better for me. The 6 Dasher could stand to be reamed out a touch. I have not measured the results of the 223 Rem against my other brass yet but based on the marks it appears to be same-same.

Now that’s dedication!
Jim has an extremely tolerant wife!
He'd never get away with that in our house.

So what keeps the inline seater centered on the base of the arbor press?
It puzzles me how you can get concentric ammo consistently if you can position die off center.

It just works’ anywhere ,anytime ,
Hell I could use a chunk of wood or a small mallet in place of a press.

Yeah she is a good sport...

The inline die does not require a shellholder for the cartridge; the case face sits against the base on the arbor press. The seater stem is contained within the body of the die and only needs to sit on a perfectly flat base and had a force from above to push the seater stem assembly down flush with the die body. The increments are adjusted by moving the seater stem up/down within the assembly and affords very precise and repeatable adjustments. You could theoretically seat a bullet by hand if you had light enough neck tension and place the base on a flat surface. Alignment of the arbor press head to the top of the seater stem assembly does not require exactness.

Talked to Brownells, sounds like 300 PRC will be coming in early 2020, so Jan of Feb. With that I think LE Wilson is also adding some 300 PRC products around the same time.

I'm using the KM arbor press with force pack on it to measure seating force which is nice. Wilson micrometer seater.

I also have an old nesika arbor press without a force pack that is extremely rigid and good feel. I go back and forth between them.
